Japanese Washi Wrap on wooden panel
About Japanese Washi Wrap on Wooden Panel
The Japanese Washi Wrap is a modern alternative to the traditional Canvas Gallery Wrap. Instead of canvas, the artwork is printed on authentic Japanese washi paper and mounted onto a wooden panel. This unique presentation style brings a natural texture and refined aesthetic, making it one of the most innovative and visually striking gallery wrap options available today.
In addition to our washi wrap service, we offer a wide selection of fine art inkjet-compatible washi papers, suitable for all kinds of images—from photography to traditional art prints.
For our wooden panel mounting, we use high-quality Awagami Inkjet paper, known for its craftsmanship and heritage. Among the various types, Kozo (mulberry) fiber stands out as a traditional material used to create exceptionally strong, lightweight, and archival-grade paper. Kozo-based washi is ideal for fine art prints, giclée reproductions, museum-quality artwork, scrolls, and more. Its semi-transparency also makes it perfect for backlit displays or other applications requiring strength with a delicate, natural feel.
