Reappear: Image of life exhibition

Reappear: Image of life – A photo exhibition featured 13 photographers graduated 20 years ago from the Photography / Design Department – Hong Kong Polytechnic University. At that time digital images was still at beginning stage and most of the images are developed in darkroom from film to prints. The major thing about darkroom developed images is you will do not have preview from your camera little display. In other words, waiting to see the image appeared on film, paper will add little mystery. We believe this is the beauty of darkroom developed images at that time.

也許當時我們年紀小，大多情況，我們只有支支吾吾，無言以對。
我們識於微時，來自紅橙黃綠青藍紫。二十年後，萬幸，我們還是不一樣的紅橙黃綠青藍紫。更萬幸的是，我們仍可走在一起，繼續用光影說話。
因為我們沒有忘記，一切顏色和可能，本源於光──就是原初，從針孔透進暗室的那一點光。
「你影呢啲，究竟有咩Significance？」今天你可能還會這樣問。
這個小小的展覽，就是我們的答案。

20多年前，我們是理工大學攝影設計系學生，那時數碼攝影還未普及，還是拍菲林。 菲林，要經過沖洗，才看得見影像。把菲林放進沖罐，注入顯影液，然後靜候銀粒在膠片上成形，再在暗室中，印出照片。 人生是一場慢速的顯影過程，經過不斷地沖刷，積聚了經驗，磨平了稜角。 畢業20年，讓我們置身光影中，為經過的歲月，印一張照片。
